About the role#
This internship at Blackwolf Run offers a rotation through various food and beverage outlets. You will gain experience in both Front of the House and Back of the House operations. The program covers service standards, associate training, inventory management, and daily operating procedures. You will also participate in special projects like menu development and dining events.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through all restaurant positions to understand both service and kitchen operations.
- Monitor the restaurant floor and manage communication between departments.
- Lead opening and closing procedures for your assigned outlet.
- Assist managers with cover forecasting, scheduling, payroll, and labor controls.
- Handle administrative tasks such as purchasing, invoicing, and records control.
- Manage inventory levels, including daily product requests and waste reduction.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and attend weekly staff meetings.
- Oversee dining room flow and ensure guest satisfaction by responding to requests and resolving concerns.
- Perform duties of servers, bartenders, and hosts as needed.
- Learn to handle cash, office reporting, and social media tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university degree program for Hospitality or Resort Management.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Previous food and beverage experience is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Kohler, Wisconsin.
- Duration: 6 months, from May through October 2027.
- Schedule: Part-time, including weekdays and weekends with shifts between 6:00 am and 11:00 pm.
- Status: This is a paid internship.
