About the role#
This is a part-time position for students to gain practical workplace experience in a supervised environment. Participants work with the Foundry Cat team at Kohler Hospitality to build job readiness skills, independence, and communication abilities. This role is designed to support transition planning for students after graduation.
What you'll do#
Students receive training and support to complete a variety of daily tasks. Responsibilities include:
- Greeting customers and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Assisting with simple transactions.
- Preparing basic menu items like pouring drinks or assembling pastries.
- Restocking ingredients and supplies.
- Cleaning prep areas, wiping tables, and washing dishes.
- Organizing storage areas and inventory.
- Following established routines and checklists to complete tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an Oostburg High School student.
- Eligibility to participate in an approved school-partnered work experience program.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Kohler, Wisconsin.
- Work Mode: On-site.
- Schedule: Up to 8 hours per week with flexible shifts coordinated between school staff and café management.
