    About the role#

    This summer internship offers an insider view of the test engineering field within the rail industry. You will join the team at New York Air Brake to work on locomotive and freight car braking systems. The program runs from mid-May through mid-August. You will work on individual tasks and project teams, receiving regular feedback throughout the summer before delivering a final presentation to company leaders.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform testing on complex integrated and networked systems.
    • Configure test setups and control stands.
    • Write test cases based on functional requirements.
    • Use automated testing to collect data for development teams.
    • Write test reports.

    What you'll need#

    • You are currently entering your Junior or Senior year of study.
    • You are pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
    • A minimum 3.0 GPA.
    • Basic software engineering skills.
    • Hands-on experience and familiarity with data acquisition.

    Location & details#

    • This role is based in Irving, Texas.
    • The position follows a hybrid work schedule.
    • This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
