About the role#
The Quality Engineering Co-op position is an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience within our Quality Department. You will work on projects that improve operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and quality systems. This role involves collaborating with various internal teams including engineering, operations, and plant quality to resolve issues and maintain compliance.
What you'll do#
- Monitor, analyze, and report on quality metrics for both customers and suppliers.
- Participate on product launch teams to complete process flows, PFMEAs, control plans, and product scorecards.
- Assist with ISO9000 and IATF16949 compliance and auditing tasks.
- Manage assigned customer requirements and investigate supplier or customer issues.
- Complete Gage R&R and capability studies using statistical tools.
- Develop quality corrective actions and conduct warranty trend and baseline analysis.
- Support supplier improvement projects, including evaluations and VDA audits.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or Business Administration.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access/Query.
- Ability to learn new assignments quickly and work with a self-motivated approach.
- Familiarity with statistical tools is preferred.
