    About the role#

    This co-op position places you within one of our Centers of Competency. You will work on advanced product concept research and development, helping to translate customer requirements into new products. This role involves a mix of design, validation, and project management tasks.

    What you'll do#

    • Design systems and test simulations for electronic and mechanical components.
    • Validate software algorithms and hardware using software and hardware-in-the-loop technologies.
    • Troubleshoot products in both laboratory and vehicle environments.
    • Oversee assembly, inventory, and testing coordination with technicians.
    • Analyze electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic circuits.
    • Conduct product phase reviews and manage project documentation like DFMEAs.
    • Assist with product application development, road tests, and customer demonstrations.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university with a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher.
    • Academic focus in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
    • Understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, and simple electronic systems.
    • Hands-on experience with shop equipment, mechanical tools, and trucks.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

    Location & details#

    • This is a full-time, paid, on-site position located in Avon, Ohio.
    • This role operates on a rolling term basis.
