About the role#
This co-op position is based in the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering department. You will work on-site in Huntington, Indiana, on a full-time basis. This is a paid role.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research and development for advanced mechatronic and automation concepts.
- Design and build hardware and software for test fixtures.
- Evaluate additive manufacturing standards from organizations such as ASTM, SAE, and ISO.
- Use design tools like CREO or Solidworks.
- Apply methods including FMEA and Six Sigma.
- Work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Use analysis tools such as MATLAB and Minitab.
- Use mechanical shop tools for hands-on projects.
- Utilize HTML and Visual Basic for programming tasks.
- Create documentation and presentations using Microsoft Office tools.
- Work with simple electronic instrumentation systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Preferred majors include Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering, ideally with a dual major or minor in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Experience with additive manufacturing.
