About the role#
The 2026 Fall Retail Management Internship provides a hands-on leadership experience for college students and recent graduates interested in a retail career. Interns work alongside store leadership to develop skills in communication, client experience, human resources, store operations, and merchandising. You will serve as an Acting Sales Lead, gaining experience in store management and team development.
What you'll do#
- Support business strategy and adjust operations to reach store goals.
- Drive revenue by managing the client experience as the Manager On Duty.
- Coach associates on client interactions to maximize productivity and performance.
- Perform operational tasks including opening and closing procedures, bank deposits, and inventory management.
- Utilize store reports to make effective merchandising decisions and maintain visual standards.
- Complete daily tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly and meets company guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current college junior, senior, or recent college graduate.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Human Resources.
- Ability to organize, delegate, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of visual merchandising standards and techniques.
- Strong communication skills when interacting with clients and team members.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.

- Location: The Mall in Columbia, Columbia, MD.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Commitment: Part-time, approximately 20-25 hours per week.
