About the role#
KLA is hiring a Graduate AI Engineer Intern to join our IT team in Ann Arbor. You will work on designing, training, and deploying AI solutions that address real business needs. This role focuses on building next-generation enterprise systems, including AI agents and domain-specific applications.
What you'll do#
- Train, tune, and deploy machine learning models.
- Build predictive and classification models.
- Design and implement Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
- Design and develop AI-powered business applications.
- Build APIs and microservices to expose AI capabilities.
- Create reusable AI components and SDKs for enterprise use.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a graduate student or PhD candidate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks such as C, C++, C#, Python, Java, JavaScript, Vue, AngularJS, or PHP.
- Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, multithreading, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
- Strong skills in problem-solving, analysis, and debugging.
- Experience with AI, LLM, or AI agent projects is preferred.
