About the role#
Kitchell is hiring an Intern for a full-time, paid position. This role is based on-site in Phoenix, Arizona. You will work within our construction operations to support project management teams, maintain documentation, and track project progress.
What you'll do#
- Process submittals and RFIs while ensuring they meet contract requirements.
- Prepare change order requests and agreement adjustments.
- Maintain project logs, document files, and a current set of construction drawings.
- Assist in monitoring and updating project schedules.
- Prepare monthly progress payment requests for the owner.
- Track labor reports, forecast quantities, and manage the job chart of accounts.
- Document project progress through photo files.
- Coordinate with safety and quality teams to ensure site compliance.
- Review contract documents, plans, and specifications to support the project team.
- Assist with job close-out procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Understanding of commercial construction and design principles.
- Proficiency with engineering software and technical equipment.
- Strong grasp of advanced mathematical concepts.
- Organizational and scheduling skills.
