About the role#
This is a 16-month co-op position based in Calgary. You will provide engineering and project management support for capital enhancement and sustaining liquid pipeline and facility projects. You will work under the direction of project development and execution engineers.
What you'll do#
- Research and summarize codes, standards, and regulations.
- Prepare project scopes, designs, justifications, estimates, economic analyses, and documentation.
- Develop specifications and work with supply chain management to procure materials and services.
- Compile documentation and procedures to ensure safe work execution.
- Conduct field visits to assist with construction site inspections, project scoping, commissioning, and start-up.
- Track project schedules, cost control, and earned value management.
- Review quality control packages after construction.
- Help develop and revise project management templates.
- Plan and implement work according to HSE policies and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate tasks across internal departments, external consultants, and contractors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Engineering program at a qualified institution.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and computer skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal and external stakeholders.
Location & details#
- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Work Modality: This is a hybrid role. You will work from the office Tuesday through Thursday and remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
- Travel: Expect occasional travel to sites in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northern Alberta.
