About the role#
This is a 16-month co-op position based in Calgary. You will work with the Engineering Services Team on the development and execution of facility and pipeline projects. The role involves technical tasks such as hydraulics modelling, stress analysis, pump sizing, and material selection.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical and non-technical support on operational and engineering matters.
- Assist the team with the design and installation of mechanical systems.
- Help ensure the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of facilities, including risk and integrity management.
- Prepare mechanical drawings and review them with stakeholders to confirm they meet standards and regulations.
- Plan and implement work according to health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Support technical initiatives and studies within your knowledge areas.
- Help improve existing processes and procedures.
- Maintain professional correspondence with company personnel and contractors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering program at a post-secondary institution.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and computer skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with both office and field staff.
- A valid Class 5 driver's license and an acceptable driver's abstract is an asset.
Location & details#
- This position is based in the Calgary head office.
- The role follows a hybrid schedule, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays and in-office work Tuesday through Thursday.
- The role involves occasional travel to southeast Saskatchewan to visit operations and infrastructure.
