About the role#
This is a 16-month co-op student opportunity within the Facilities Integrity team. You will provide technical support for the development, implementation, and maintenance of management programs covering tanks, pressure vessels, and facility piping systems. The role involves an office environment with occasional day travel to facility and pipeline sites.
What you'll do#
- Support the Facilities Integrity team with management programs and respond to requests from management and stakeholders.
- Participate in engineering assessments, including Fitness-for-Service evaluations and failure root cause investigations.
- Populate an RBI facility piping database and perform field validation of integrity data.
- Assist with risk assessments to help prioritize facility piping for inspection programs.
- Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards to support inspection planning, cost estimates, and risk-based decisions.
- Build proof-of-concept dashboards that consolidate piping, AST, and vessel deficiency data.
- Ensure all work follows health, safety, and environmental policies, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain professional correspondence with company personnel and contractors.
- Contribute to the improvement of internal processes and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering program at a qualified institution.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and computer skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal and external stakeholders.
- A valid Class 5 driver's license and an acceptable driver's abstract are considered assets.
Location & details#
- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Work Modality: This position is hybrid. You will work from the head office Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
- Status: Full-time, paid co-op.
