About the role#
Keeley Companies is hiring a Safety Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site role based in St. Louis, Missouri. You will work alongside our safety professionals to support project operations and maintain a safe jobsite.
What you'll do#
- Help coordinate safety duties, including safety committees, preplanning meetings, and toolbox talks.
- Review subcontractor safety programs to ensure they meet our internal policies.
- Promote safe work practices that follow Federal, State, and Local regulations.
- Conduct jobsite and work area inspections with the Project Safety Manager or Superintendent.
- Maintain safety records such as pre-task plans, training logs, incident investigations, and performance metrics.
- Complete assigned projects while learning our safety culture.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A desire to learn multiple tasks and a willingness to ask questions.
- Candidates must complete a selection assessment and a pre-employment drug screen.
