About the role#
Keeley Companies is hiring a Safety Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a traveling, on-site, full-time internship focused on supporting safety operations across construction projects. You will work directly with the Project Safety Manager and Superintendents to ensure compliance and promote safe working conditions.
What you'll do#
- Assist with safety committees, preplanning meetings, and toolbox meetings.
- Participate in safety training and project orientations.
- Review subcontractor safety programs to ensure they meet company policies and regulations.
- Conduct inspections of jobsites and work areas.
- Manage safety records, including pre-task plans, training logs, incident investigations, and performance metrics.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Occupational Safety and Health, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- High aptitude for learning and a results-oriented approach to tasks.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.

- This position is paid and requires on-site work. Candidates must complete a selection assessment and a pre-employment drug screen.
