About the role#
Keeley Companies is hiring a Safety Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in New Braunfels, Texas. This role is paid and does not offer sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Help coordinate safety duties, including safety committees, preplanning meetings, and toolbox talks.
- Review subcontractor safety programs to ensure they meet company policies and requirements.
- Conduct jobsite and work area inspections alongside the Project Safety Manager or Superintendent.
- Maintain safety records, such as training logs, incident investigations, pre-task plans, and performance metrics.
- Participate in safety meetings and orientations.
- Promote safe work practices that follow federal, state, and local regulations.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to complete a selection assessment and a pre-employment drug screen.
