About the role#
KCI is looking for a student to join the Land Development team as a Site/Civil Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. This position provides hands-on experience on public and private development projects. You will work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks between mid-May and late August. You will have a dedicated supervisor and participate in planned intern activities.
What you'll do#
- Assist with design tasks for residential, commercial, and institutional land development projects.
- Support site layout, grading, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion and sediment control calculations.
- Prepare construction documents, drawings, and technical specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Provide support with local, state, and federal permitting processes.
- Participate in site visits and help write field observation reports.
- Collaborate with the team on project organization, schedules, and cost estimate preparation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited college engineering program.
- A valid driver's license.
- A 3.0 GPA or higher is preferred.

- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
