About the role#
KCI is hiring a Survey Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position. You will work under the guidance of a supervisor and mentor to gain practical experience in surveying. The internship requires a 40-hour work week for at least 10 weeks between mid-May and August.
What you'll do#
- Visit project sites to collect data, take measurements, create sketches, and document findings with photographs.
- Process field data to draft base plans for project use.
- Create topographic survey plots to support project development.
- Attend project team meetings at least every two weeks to discuss progress.
- Manage tasks within set corporate or project budget limits.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college Engineering or Science program, with a preference for Civil or Computer Engineering majors.
- A valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Experience with ArcGIS, CADD programs, and Microsoft Office is preferred.
