About the role#
KCI is hiring an Entertainment Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Woodcliff, New Jersey, or New York, New York. You will work under the guidance of experienced engineers on entertainment and specialty projects. The internship runs for at least 10 weeks between mid-May and late August.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the design and development of structural systems for entertainment and specialty projects.
- Support material testing, process studies, and the preparation of specifications.
- Prepare technical documentation and contribute to research investigations.
- Create construction drawings for steel, concrete, and wood structures.
- Participate in site observations, field activities, and construction administration tasks.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on multidisciplinary design efforts.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited college engineering program.
- A 3.0 GPA or higher is preferred.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
