About the role#
KCI is looking for a Construction Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers to support active construction projects. The role requires a 40-hour work week for at least 10 weeks between mid-May and late August.
What you'll do#
- Assist with structural engineering analysis and design for temporary and permanent works.
- Support structural analysis of permanent structures during the construction phase.
- Evaluate construction sequence proposals.
- Create sketches and markups to communicate design concepts to clients and contractors.
- Help prepare project deliverables, including reports, drawings, and cost estimates.
- Participate in basic survey tasks and observe construction activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited college engineering program, specifically in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
