About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for a Reliability & Maintenance Engineer at Kaneka Americas Holding. You will work on-site at our facility in Pasadena, Texas. This position follows a rolling term schedule.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain a reliability improvement program.
- Monitor critical equipment and develop Preventive Maintenance plans.
- Track equipment with high maintenance costs or failure rates.
- Run the vibration monitoring program, including data collection and analysis.
- Improve equipment availability using Reliability KPIs.
- Support the non-destructive inspection program and implement the Mechanical Integrity program.
- Check that inspection databases are accurate and documentation is complete.
- Perform root cause failure analysis on equipment and system failures.
- Investigate failures with vendors and specialists to identify and eliminate failure modes.
- Advise maintenance technicians and supervisors on repair procedures and improvements.
- Provide technical support for job planning, troubleshooting, and diagnosing equipment issues.
- Approve repairs to service equipment according to RAGAGEPs.
