About the role#
KAAPA Ethanol is hiring for a Finance Team Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Kearney, Nebraska. You will work across various departments to support our financial operations and compliance efforts.
What you'll do#
- Perform data cleansing and migration tasks.
- Review daily cash activity and monitor fraud prevention measures.
- Support the team during monthly and quarterly closing processes.
- Maintain and organize financial records and documentation.
- Assist with projects across Accounting, Compliance, HR, Business Development, IT, and Project Management.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing accounting projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration degree program.
- Completion of at least two years of post-secondary education.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- A strong grasp of basic accounting principles and financial statements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
