About the role#
Ithaca College is hiring two students to serve as Teaching Assistants for the Department of International Business and Finance. This position supports finance research and lecture content for courses FINA31100 and FINA32100. You will work up to 3 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Assist the professor with in-class activities and course set-up.
- Provide guidance to students on projects and presentations.
- Clarify course content, readings, and assignments.
- Lead interactive small group review sessions.
- Help develop new learning materials.
- Assist with the preparation, proctoring, and grading of assignments, quizzes, and exams.
- Collect data for course-related and research-related work.
- Maintain professionalism and manage confidential matters.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in Finance or Business Administration.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
- A dependable and committed approach with a focus on proactive student interaction.
- Knowledge of or the ability to learn online teaching and learning platforms.
- A commitment to the continued study of finance content.
