This internship provides an opportunity to support families and children with behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs. Interns work within the Community Based Services division to help clients succeed in their homes, schools, and communities. The role focuses on developing clinical skills through hands-on experience and collaboration with staff.
What you'll do#
- Support the care of families and children with behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Apply clinical skills to promote social justice in daily practice.
- Grow clinical expertise by working directly in community settings and client homes.
- Participate in the implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with community staff members to provide individualized, strength-based services.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master’s degree program or higher in a mental health field, such as Psychology, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- A clinical interest in working with children and adolescents.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed models of treatment is preferred.
- Ability to pass background and driving record checks.
