Clinical Intern- TAP

About the role#

The Clinical Intern for the TAP program supports children and families dealing with significant behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs. This role focuses on providing individualized services within community settings, utilizing strength-based and needs-driven approaches. Interns work as part of a collaborative team to help children ages 6-12 who require therapeutic support to succeed in their home, school, and community environments.

What you'll do#

• Support children and families with significant behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs.
• Provide services in community settings using strength-based and needs-driven approaches.
• Collaborate with a team-based approach focusing on individualized services.
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
• Conduct supervision under licensed and experienced staff.

What you'll need#

• Minimum enrollment in a Master’s degree program or above in a mental health field (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT).
• Clinical interest in working with children and adolescents.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed models of treatment is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Successful completion of background and driving record checks.
• Relevant academic background in Psychology, Public Health, Nursing, Health Administration, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
