IHBS Clinical Internship (MA Level)

About the role#

This clinical internship within the In-Home Behavioral Services (IHBS) program focuses on providing trauma-informed care to youth exhibiting challenging behaviors. Interns work directly with children and their families to develop and implement individualized behavior plans designed to improve functioning and promote positive alternatives for success.

What you'll do#

• Provide trauma-informed care to youth presenting with difficult and challenging behaviors.
• Utilize home and community-based behavioral interventions to empower caregivers in managing youth behaviors.
• Collaborate with Behavioral Monitors to coach and model interventions developed from a positive behavioral perspective.
• Gain professional skills and competencies in Behavioral Services to strengthen your clinical practice.
• Receive supervision from licensed staff to support degree completion and professional growth.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Master's degree program in Social Work (2nd year students preferred).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfort with technology and the ability to learn various electronic systems.
• Daily access to a reliable, insured vehicle and a valid driver's license.
• Successful completion of background and driving record checks.
