About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to gain clinical experience within the Community Based Services division. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to support children and families with significant behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs. The role focuses on developing clinical skills through community-based and home-based service delivery, utilizing strength-based and evidence-based practices.
What you'll do#
- Learn and apply clinical interventions to support youth and families.
- Explore clinical knowledge through the use of evidence-based modalities.
- Strengthen documentation skills and gain experience with electronic medical records.
- Serve as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Support the mission by assisting families and children in their homes, schools, and communities.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in social work or counseling and entering your second year.
- A clinical interest in working with children and adolescents.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed models of treatment is preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to pass background and driving record checks.
