BA Level Intern

About the role#

This internship provides an opportunity to support youth and families within the Community Based Services division. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to an after-school environment that utilizes strength-based, needs-driven, and culturally competent care to help children with behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs succeed in their homes, schools, and communities.

What you'll do#

• Learn to apply clinical interventions to support youth in social and educational settings.
• Explore clinical knowledge through the use of evidence-based and culturally competent modalities.
• Strengthen documentation skills and gain experience using electronic medical records.
• Serve as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team supporting youth and families.

What you'll need#

• Currently working toward at least a Bachelor's degree in mental health, social work, or a human service field.
• A strong interest in working with children and adolescents.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed models of treatment is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to pass background and driving record checks.
