About the role#
The Global Finance & Business Management (GFBM) Summer Analyst Program is a 9-week internship designed to provide hands-on experience in financial management, data interpretation, and strategic problem-solving. Analysts are placed within one of four functional groups: Business Management, Controller, Financial Analysis, or Project Management. The program includes mentorship, access to senior leaders, and training to support professional development. Successful completion of the internship may lead to an offer for the full-time two-year rotational analyst program.
What you'll do#
- Act as a trusted advisor to business and group heads by identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks.
- Create meaningful financial analysis, reporting, and insights to support business strategy.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial statements and controls across the transaction lifecycle.
- Support initiatives that drive cross-line-of-business or firmwide priorities.
- Optimize business performance by driving key initiatives supported by financial and data-driven insights.
- Perform reporting and controls functions, including legal entity, financial and regulatory reporting, and product valuation.
- Coordinate with internal partners on budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
- Track progress and analyze outcomes across project lifecycles.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.A., B.S., or 5th-year M.A. or M.S. with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or June 2028.
- A well-rounded academic background with an interest in financial management, analytics, and data.
- Digital-first mindset with data-driven critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant internship experience and demonstrated leadership in academic or community organizations.
- Preferred: Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale; working knowledge of data analytics, visualization tools, or programming languages (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, Python); intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Index Match).
