About the role#
Join the sustainability team at Johnsonville for a full-time summer internship. You will work from our global headquarters in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. This role provides an overview of sustainability within an agricultural-focused corporate setting. You will collaborate with business partners across the organization to understand how sustainability impacts our operations while working alongside an assigned coach.
What you'll do#
- Assist with strategic target and goal setting.
- Gather responses and report on ESG metrics defined in the Meat Institute’s Protein Pact.
- Participate in sustainability-related committees and workstreams, such as sustainable packaging, regulatory compliance, and decarbonization.
- Complete ad hoc ESG-related projects.
- Work closely with your assigned coach to support your professional development.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in sustainability or an environmental-related field, with junior or senior status preferred.
- A 3.5 minimum GPA is strongly preferred.
- Some prior work experience is preferred.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
- A desire to learn, grow, and contribute in a team-based environment.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- A drive for excellence.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
