About the role#
This co-op position supports operational excellence and Lean initiatives within the Packaging organization. You will gain hands-on experience by leading process improvement projects, analyzing performance data, and supporting the implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools in a regulated production environment. This is a full-time, paid role based in Gurabo, Puerto Rico.
What you'll do#
- Support continuous improvement projects using Lean methodologies.
- Assist with Value Stream Mapping activities and identify improvement opportunities.
- Help prioritize, track, and execute improvement projects and action plans.
- Support the development and implementation of Leader Standard Work practices.
- Participate in Kaizen events and employee engagement activities.
- Assist with Lean Maturity Assessments and benchmarking initiatives.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and visual management tools.
- Track project metrics and prepare progress updates for leadership.
- Support training, certification, and operational excellence programs.
What you'll need#
- Completion of your freshman year at an accredited university.
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Chemical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical discipline.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for future sponsorship.
- Ineligibility for severance.

- Modality: On-site.
- Terms: Winter 2027, Summer 2027, and Fall 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
