About the role#
Johnson & Johnson is hiring a Software Engineering Co-Op for the Spring 2027 term. This position is based in Cincinnati, Ohio, and requires on-site attendance. You will work within our MedTech sector to support R&D initiatives, gaining hands-on experience in a professional engineering environment.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop software that integrates with mechanical, electrical, and distributed computing systems.
- Create test tools to evaluate product software within integrated environments.
- Translate technical options into formal, testable written requirements.
- Document designs and specifications according to established design control processes.
- Ensure software development conforms to industry standards for medical devices, specifically IEC 62304.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of at least two semesters of coursework prior to the start of the co-op term.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Practical experience in software engineering using C, C++, and Python.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
