    About the role#

    The Business Excellence Engineer Co-Op role involves driving improvements in assigned areas using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. You will work with operations, support groups, and transactional teams to reduce costs and inventory. Your goal is to align flow with customer demand by removing non-value-added activities. This role focuses on building a continuous improvement environment and lean culture.

    What you'll do#

    • Execute projects and track progress against execution plans.
    • Develop current and future state value stream mapping (VSM).
    • Support the Business Excellence group through kaizen teams, 6S, dashboards, scorecards, visual aids, standard work, checklists, and time studies.
    • Prioritize tasks within the job jar.
    • Coach belts and influence team members effectively.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, software engineering, technology, programming, or related fields.
    • Completion of at least your freshman year and currently in at least your 3rd year of college.
    • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
    • Enrollment in an accredited institution during the internship period.
    • Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for future sponsorship.
    • Alignment between this internship and your area of study or career interest.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Gurabo, Puerto Rico.
    • Term: Fall 2026 (August to December).
    • Modality: Full-time, on-site (40 hours per week).
    • Compensation: This is a paid position.
