About the role#
As a Legal Intern, you will support the legal departments of Southeast Toyota Distributors and Southeast Toyota Finance. You will work directly with in-house attorneys, paralegals, and support staff on projects related to the automotive industry. This position provides exposure to the practice of law in a corporate environment while allowing you to contribute to company initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Conduct legal research and prepare clear, concise written analysis for in-house attorneys.
- Review customer complaints and litigation matters.
- Assist with the review and drafting of contracts.
- Support the review of legal policies and procedures.
- Attend client meetings and present research findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with legal team members on various company projects.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an accredited law school with at least 1L coursework completed prior to the start of the internship.
- Completion of at least one semester of coursework in a bachelor, master, or other degree-seeking program.
- Demonstrated skills in legal research and writing.
- Basic knowledge of contracts and legal terminology.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with a high level of integrity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative and curious approach to work.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The program runs from May 24, 2027, to July 30, 2027.
- You must be able to work on-site or in a hybrid capacity at our offices in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
