About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 within the Credit Administration department at Jewett City Savings Bank. You will gain hands-on experience assessing the creditworthiness of commercial loan applicants and monitoring the financial health of existing borrowers.
What you'll do#
- Support the commercial credit team by providing customer service and maintaining a positive work environment.
- Collect required financial information and documentation from clients.
- Organize and prepare credit files, including tax returns, financial statements, and loan closing documents.
- Gather materials for loan officers, auditors, and regulators.
- Update physical and digital commercial loan files with new financial data and analyses.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Accounting.
- An anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
- Proficiency with computer systems and standard office equipment.
- Strong organizational skills.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Jewett City, Connecticut.
- The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm, totaling 37.5 hours per week.
- Daily on-site attendance is required.
