About the role#
The IT Intern assists the technology department with daily operations and technical projects. This role provides hands-on experience in a professional environment, allowing you to apply classroom knowledge to real-world tasks.
What you'll do#
- Provide first-level technical support to employees regarding hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and mobile devices.
- Help monitor IT infrastructure, perform software updates, and run system backups.
- Log and troubleshoot technical issues, escalating complex problems when necessary.
- Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets and document system configurations.
- Manage user accounts in systems like Active Directory or Office 365.
- Participate in IT projects including system upgrades and migrations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a Bachelor's or Associate's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- A basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and with a team.
