About the role#
The Audit Intern assists with attest engagements, including audits, reviews, compilations, and agreed-upon procedures. You will work under the direct supervision of managers and shareholders to support our audit team. This is a paid, full-time position based in Missoula, Montana, for the Spring 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Perform analytical procedures and substantive testing of financial accounts.
- Prepare workpapers and document findings according to firm standards.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of audit fieldwork.
- Support the preparation of client financial statements, including footnote disclosures.
- Attend training to stay current on accounting, auditing, and regulatory developments.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client and firm operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Accounting or Finance program.
- Previous accounting or internship experience is preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member under close supervision.
- Commitment to providing excellent and timely client service.
- Proficiency with technology and research tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
