About the role#
The Tax Department Intern will gain exposure to domestic and international tax concepts, including tax planning, M&A restructuring, and compliance. You will work on long-term projects while building relationships across the organization. This role offers the chance to research tax laws and apply them to specific situations at JAS.
What you'll do#
- Receive personal coaching and hands-on experience with US corporation income tax law.
- Use Checkpoint software for tax law research.
- Gain practical knowledge of One Source tax provision software and US GAAP tax accounting.
- Assist with preparing quarterly tax provisions and various schedules for tax returns.
- Interview department heads to document operations and priorities.
- Review transfer pricing reports and assist with the implementation of OECD Pillar 2 regulations.
- Participate in internal calls regarding global and local tax issues.
What you'll need#
- Current Junior or Senior status in college with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Major in Accounting, Finance, International Business, or Business Administration.
- Strong computer skills, specifically with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work both independently and in a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
