Production Engineering Student/Co-op- Fall 2026

About the role#

This co-op position offers the opportunity to support new construction programs for the Royal Canadian Navy and Canadian Coast Guard. You will work within the production engineering team to contribute to key projects, build professional connections, and gain insight into career paths within the shipbuilding industry. The company will pay co-op fees up to $1000 for student hires.

What you'll do#

• Collaborate with production teams to address engineering challenges related to ship construction.
• Review design elements of the ship in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in supporting production teams to execute schedules.
• Participate in issue management, including tracking and solution development.
• Propose and participate in continuous improvement projects.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a 4-year Engineering degree program (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Biomedical, or Industrial Engineering).
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks with varying priorities.
• Successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
