Operations Assistant Student - Fall 2026

About the role#

Atlantic Towing Limited is seeking an Operations Assistant Student for the Fall 2026 term. This role is based in Saint John, New Brunswick, and provides an opportunity to support marine operations within the Tug and Coastal Fleet. You will work alongside Superintendents and various departments to manage day-to-day operational tasks and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.

What you'll do#

• Assist in monitoring various programs across the Tug and Coastal Fleet.
• Collaborate with other departments to complete operational tasks.
• Support Superintendents with daily operations and customer commitments.
• Participate in Health, Safety, and Compliance initiatives for vessels.
• Perform analysis of operational data.
• Ensure all work complies with statutory, regulatory, and classification society requirements while adhering to company policies.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program, with a preference for Industrial, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
• Positive academic standing.
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
