About the role#
Join our IT Networking team as an intern to gain hands-on experience with enterprise-level infrastructure. You will work alongside experienced professionals on real-world projects to develop your technical and professional skills. This role involves maintaining and improving network operations to ensure efficiency, security, and performance.
What you'll do#
- Monitor and maintain network services and solutions across the organization.
- Support troubleshooting efforts for network issues with guidance from senior team members.
- Document network operations by updating Standard Operating Procedures and network diagrams.
- Learn and apply security protocols and best practices.
- Shadow the team in managing tools including Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco ISE, Meraki, and OpManager.
- Contribute to projects focused on performance optimization and service improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand how networking fits into broader IT operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university or college program for Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A strong interest in networking technologies and IT infrastructure.
- A basic understanding of networking concepts like IP addressing, routing, and switching.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- An eagerness to learn and adapt.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or CCNA are considered an asset, whether in progress or planned.
