About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Ashland, Maine, from mid-May to mid-August. This role is intended for engineering students looking to gain practical experience in the forest products industry. You will receive a housing stipend, uniforms, and an end-of-season incentive bonus.
What you'll do#
- Identify safety equipment, locations, and emergency procedures.
- Engage and execute a visual standards project.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to complete small-scale improvement projects.
- Investigate and resolve small production-related deviations.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, contractors, and leadership to present ideas and solutions.
- Direct small crews and present a summary of your accomplishments to management at the end of the term.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Engineering student.
- Completion of your first year of post-secondary education.
- Good academic standing.
