Data Modelling Co-op - Fall 2026

About the role#

Irving Tissue is seeking a Data Modelling Co-op for the Fall 2026 term in Toronto. This role supports manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives by providing analytic insights and developing data-driven tools. You will work within a manufacturing environment, engaging with employees ranging from front-line staff to management to foster a culture of data-based decision-making.

What you'll do#

• Develop intuitive tools and dashboards with clear calls to action that are accessible to all levels of the organization.
• Lead and support projects to optimize how the business stores and organizes data.
• Collaborate with local and corporate teams to map out the future vision for analytics and artificial intelligence.
• Support daily operations through tool development and analytic insights.
• Teach others new skills and how to effectively use data-based tools.
• Work with databases, data warehouses, and develop user interfaces from scratch.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• Proficiency in Power BI (DAX and M Language), SQL, and data modelling.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Automate, HTML coding, and user interface design.
• Ability to create KPIs and business intelligence dashboards.
• Experience with OSI Pi Data Historian, ParcView, RtDuet, or ITop is considered an asset.
• Interest or experience in building forecasting models, artificial intelligence, and decision support systems is an asset.

• Compensation: $25.50 - $27.70 per hour, based on year of study.
