About the role#
This is a paid, full-time co-op position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site at our facility in Macon, Georgia, supporting our continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Perform data mining, six sigma exercises, and structured problem solving.
- Execute projects across different departments using lean tools such as 5S, Kanban, Standard Work, Changeover reduction, Error Proofing, and Visual Management.
- Monitor shop floor and office activities to identify waste and non-value-added processes that block the flow of information or materials.
- Conduct audits and report your findings.
- Assist with research materials and prepare PowerPoint presentations.
- Document improvement workshops, type reports, and manage files.
- Maintain databases and input data records.
- Attend company functions and networking events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited university or college program pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
- An energetic approach to new projects and ideas.
