As a Business Analyst Student within the Sawmills Division, you will work at the intersection of manufacturing, data, and technology. You will contribute to improving operational performance and decision-making by supporting the development of tools used by operators, supervisors, and leadership. This role provides exposure to industrial data systems, analytics platforms, and applied AI in a modern manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Support projects that translate operational needs into practical data and technology solutions.
- Work with real-time and historical manufacturing data to support operational insights.
- Build and improve dashboards and visualizations for various stakeholders.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with teams across IT, engineering, and mill operations to understand processes and translate requirements into solutions.
- Apply business analyst practices such as process mapping, requirements gathering, and documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university co-op program in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
- Experience working with data.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

- Modality: Full-time, on-site.
