About the role#
This is a part-time student work-study position based at the Kokomo campus. You will support the Chair of the School of Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering, and Applied Science with day-to-day operations in the automotive and welding labs. This role is open to current students who qualify for federal work-study programs.
What you'll do#
- Help prepare materials for classroom instruction.
- Track inventory of both consumable and non-consumable items in the welding area.
- Maintain automotive equipment and machinery within the lab.
- Keep the lab and classroom clean by sweeping, wiping down surfaces, emptying trash, and organizing pallets.
- Assist the School Chair with tasks related to the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Ivy Tech with work-study eligibility.
- Completion of a FAFSA for the current academic year showing financial need.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Enrollment in at least 1 credit hour of eligible courses.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Maintenance of aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress status.
