About the role#
The Accounting Intern supports our corporate accounting team in White Plains. You will assist with financial reporting, journal entries, and data analysis while gaining hands-on experience with bookkeeping software. This is a paid, part-time position with a flexible hybrid schedule.
What you'll do#
- Shadow accounting staff to observe daily operations.
- Assist with research, filing, data entry, and record maintenance.
- Support the lease accounting team with uploads, month-end tasks, and inbox management.
- Prepare financial documents, including balance sheets, income statements, and invoices.
- Learn to compile and analyze data as part of the accounting team.
- Handle sensitive information with integrity.
- Take on additional projects to build your knowledge of office operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a Bachelor or Master degree program in Accounting.
- Completion of introductory accounting coursework and a basic grasp of financial principles.
- Strong math skills and computer proficiency.
- Clear verbal and written communication.
- High levels of accuracy, efficiency, and personal responsibility.
- A collaborative mindset with a desire to learn and take on new challenges.
Location & details#
- Location: White Plains, New York.
- Schedule: Part-time, up to 24 hours per week.
- Modality: Hybrid, with at least one day required on-site per week.
- Duration: Minimum 24 weeks with the possibility of an extension.
