About the role#
The Summer 2027 Financial Planning and Analysis Internship at Life Fitness / Hammer Strength provides hands-on experience in corporate finance. You will support financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and business analytics to help drive company performance. This 12-week program offers mentorship, professional development, and exposure to key finance functions within a global organization.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to projects supporting financial planning, analysis, and operational decision-making.
- Assist with month-end reporting, including global consolidation of financial results and variance analysis.
- Prepare executive reporting materials and financial presentations for leadership.
- Participate in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles.
- Perform data analysis to support partners across Sales, Marketing, Legal, IT, R&D, and Human Resources.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and develop insights for strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with fellow interns on a 12-week cross-functional case study project, presenting recommendations to senior leaders.
- Attend team meetings and participate in project discussions.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor's degree program (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related).
- Expected graduation date in 2028 or 2029.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (certification is a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work with large datasets and translate findings into business insights.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Initiative, a positive attitude, and an eagerness to learn.

- Modality: Hybrid (requires on-site work throughout the program).
