About the role#
The Summer 2027 Internship Program provides hands-on experience within a global organization. You will work on projects aligned with your academic background, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and gain exposure to core accounting functions. This 12-week program supports financial processes that ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of business reporting.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to business-critical projects that support the Accounting organization.
- Perform day-to-day accounting activities and assist with balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close activities, and quarter-end financial reporting.
- Prepare journal entries and support cash reconciliation activities.
- Process and input financial data into appropriate accounts.
- Research financial discrepancies, investigate variances, and assist with account corrections.
- Coordinate and organize supporting documentation for general ledger transactions.
- Assist with financial analysis and reporting projects.
- Attend and participate in accounting team meetings and cross-functional discussions.
- Collaborate with fellow interns on a 12-week cross-functional case study project.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date in 2028 or 2029.
- Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Must reside in the Chicagoland area.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with financial data or accounting coursework is a plus.
