About the role#
This is a twelve-week full-time internship beginning in May or June 2027. You will join the Financial Accounting and Reporting Team to gain professional experience while supporting monthly financial statements and analysis. This position is remote.
What you'll do#
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Generate reports for month-end and quarter-end cycles.
- Complete the annual asset review.
- Assist with the preparation of insurance industry regulatory reporting.
- Support financial examinations and audits.
- Conduct ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
- Develop policies, procedures, and practices related to internal controls.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Minimum of three years of college education, working toward a degree in Accounting or Business with an Accounting emphasis.
- Completion of the Intermediate Accounting sequence or equivalent.
- Overall GPA of 3.2 or higher, with an Accounting GPA of 3.4 or higher.
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to think analytically and make sound judgments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- U.S. work authorization.
- Preference is given to candidates one year from graduation.
Location & details#
- This role is remote. Employees must have a wired internet connection (not satellite or cellular) with a minimum upload speed of 5Mb and download speed of 10Mb.
- A personal mobile device is required for Multi-Factor Authentication.
- The pay range for this role is $25 to $27 per hour.
