About the role#
Itron is seeking a part-time Electrical Engineering Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This role is based on-site in Liberty Lake, Washington, and requires a commitment of 15-20 hours per week beginning in September. You will work alongside engineering, lab operations, and maintenance teams to support the calibration and maintenance of test chambers and electrical systems.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of a new calibration data baseline for test chambers and related electrical systems.
- Assist in establishing standardized calibration processes and documentation that align with quality and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support chamber updates, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Analyze calibration results to identify opportunities for process improvements and innovative solutions.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and logs to support audits and performance tracking.
- Assist with ongoing system monitoring and equipment updates to ensure optimal performance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for electrical engineering or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, or calibration concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on practical solutions.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively and work within cross-functional teams.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in technical work.
